News New opening piece for British Chamber Orchestra Aurora (2006-02-17)Broström will compose a new opening piece for Aurora. The concert will also include Ligeti Chamber Concerto and Mahler Symphony No. 4 (arr Stein). London April 30th. Venue not yet decided. Conductors: Nick Collon (Ligeti) and Robin Ticciati (Mahler, Brostrom).  Tintin - the musical (2006-02-15) Nils-Petter will be working with Christoffer Nobin on a commission to write a musical based on the cartoon character Tintin. The musical will recieve its´ first - outdoors -production in Växjö this summer! Please check out www.teaterborgen.se for more info! "Sigillet" to be scored at BHM! (2006-02-15) The spectacle of the year - Lundakarnevalen - produces a big movie to be premiered in April this year. The action packed thriller is called "Sigillet" and Nils-Petter is the composer assigned to write the score. The director is Johan Rünow. Jonas arranges/orchestrates Ola Salo (2006-02-07) Malmö Academy Orchestra and Choir will perform a mass written by Ola Salo (singer/songwiter of The Ark) this spring. Jonas will arrange/orchestrate it. "Jag är alltid Josef" on SVT! (2006-01-12) Paolo Vacirca´s 30-minute short film "Jag är alltid Josef" with a musical score by Nils-Petter has been sold to SVT, Swedish National TV, to be broadcast sometimes during this spring! More details to come! Eurovision song contest (2006-01-11) It is now official that the song "Don´t Try To Stop Me", written by Anders Hallbäck and Henrik Hansson, will compete in the fourth round of the eurovision song contest. It all takes place in Scandinavium, Göteborg on March 11:th 2006 and the song will be performed by swedish soul queen Laila Adéle. New choral release (2005-12-28) Gehrmans has just released a collection of three songs from CajsaStina Åkerström´s goldselling album "De Vackraste Orden" arranged for SATB-choir by Nils-Petter. The selections are "De vackraste orden", "Jag ger dig min morgon" and Nils-Petter´s composition "Ser du mina händer". CajsaStina Grammy nominated! (2005-12-18) The album "De Vackraste Orden" is nominated for a Swedish Grammy in the "traditional" category. The album features Nils-Petter´s composition "Ser du mina händer". First performance (2005-12-13) Malmö Academic Choir will perform the folkmusicinspired carol "Kom nu alla" tonight at their Luciaconcert in Johanneskyrkan 19:30. The carol is written by Nils-Petter (music) and Tea-Louice Beurling (lyrics). Christmas CD (2005-12-05) Malmö academic Choir & Orchestra with conductor Daniel Hansson have recorded a christmas album, A Winters tale, featuring arrangements for choir and orchestra by Jonas. Music for jazz duo and strings (2005-11-30) Together with jazz pianist Olof Löfgren, Jonas will write music for jazz duo and strings, the concert will take place somewhere in the early spring. Lund new chamber orchestra, reed player Fredrik Stenberg and Olof Löfgren at the piano, conductor Jonas Nydesjö. Hardenberger and Preston. (2005-11-16) Swedish trumpet player Håkan Hardenberger ( www.hakanhardenberger.com ) and legendary british organist Simon Preston commissions a new piece by Broström. Premiere in Birmingham spring 2006. Stefan Jämtbäck releases new CD (2005-11-14) The CD called "Så mycket mera lyckad än jag" features one arrangement for strings by Nils-Petter: "Vid första ögonkastet". Buy here!. CajsaStina for choir (2005-11-14) Nils-Petter is the arranger of a collection of three songs from the goldselling album "De vackraste orden - Tio Visor" by CajsaStina Åkerström. The settings are for SATB-choir and will be published by Gehrmans Musikförlag. The selections are "De vackraste orden", "Jag ger dig min morgon" and Nils-Petter´s composition "Ser du mina händer". Broström signed with American Publisher (2005-10-07) Keyboard Percussion Publications, located in New York, is the company to publish percussion music composed by Tobias Broström. Following titles are planned so far: Phantasmagoria ( marimba solo ), Faces ( solo mar/vib, piano, 4 perc. ), Scene for Vibraphone, Twilight ( 2/4 marimbas ) and Nordic Peace ( 4 perc. ). CajsaStina sells gold! (2005-10-06) CajsaStina Åkerström´s album "De vackraste orden - Tio Visor" (EMI/Calimba Music) has reached the golden limit of 30 000 sold copies since its release in June 2005. The album features Nils-Petter´s composition "Ser du mina händer". Ann Winsborn album released! (2005-09-18) Anders has written the song "Smile" which is on Ann Winsborns new album "Pink-Collar-Crime". The album has now been released in 30 countries across Europe and Asia! Zoop in Africa (in Holland) (2005-09-18) The song "Dance the night away" written by Anders is featured in the movie "Zoop In Africa". The movie has been watched by 250 000 people in The Netherlands so far! New Release: Johan Bridger - percussion (2005-08-27) This CD contains music by Tobias Brostrom. Both his Percussion Concerto with Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra and the piece "Scene for Vibraphone" are included on this record. Tobias percussion music featured at world convention for percussion (2005-08-05) The two pieces "Nordic Peace" and "Twilight" are beeing performed at Pasic 2005 in Columbus, Ohio. The convention are held 2-5 november and the pieces are beeing performed by a swedish percussion ensemble from Malmö Academy of Music. |
