Date: 2012-01-24 Brostrom on US tour with Swedish National Youth Orchestra> 21/6/2011 Samsara, a newly written double concerto, written for violinist Hugo Ticciati and marimbist Johan Bridger will be performed in Chicago Symphony Hall, Strathmore Center in Washington and in Carnegie Hall NY by the Swedish National Youth Orchestra during a tour in January 2012. The premiere will take place at the Baltic Sea Festival in Stockholm on the 28 of August. The premiere, as well as the tour, will be conducted by Estonian conductor Tõnu Kaljuste. Tobias Broström's Lucernaris nominated for best orchestral piece of the year> 15/9/2010 The Swedish Music Publishers Association has nominated Tobias Brostrom's Trumpet Concerto "Lucernaris" for best contemporary piece of the year in the category large ensemble/opera. Winner will be announced on November 12 at Berns Salonger. Transit Underground gets its first performance in Denmark> 16/2/2012 Tobias Broström's piece Transit Underground gets its first Danish performance tonight. Aalborg Symphony Orchestra conducted by Johannes Gustavsson. Location: Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center. Time: 19:30 Cello Concerto/Mats Rondin & Jönköpings Sinfonietta> 16/3/2012 Tonight Jönköpings Sinfonietta plays Tobias Broström's Cello Concerto in Jönköping at the newly inaugurated concerthall Spira. The piece is a co-commission made by Västerås Sinfonietta and Jönköpins Sinfonietta. Mats Rondin is soloist as well as conductor.
